followsup is built for operators who already have a relationship with their leads. Outreach is consent-aware by design — not a cold blast machine.

Email (CAN-SPAM)

Transactional and relationship follow-ups identify the sending business, include a working unsubscribe path, and honor opt-outs promptly. Marketing sequences only run where the recipient has a prior business relationship or explicit opt-in.

SMS (A2P 10DLC)

Text messages use registered A2P traffic under Better Cards, LLC for the followsup.ai product. A single DNC / suppression choke point applies. STOP and HELP are honored. We do not text numbers that are suppressed or that never opted in.

SMS opt-in (required language)

Program name: followsup (Better Cards, LLC). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help (support@followsup.ai).

Web form opt-in (primary proof): https://followsup.ai/sms-opt-in/ — enter your mobile number and check the SMS consent box (unchecked by default; not combined with terms). Full on-form language includes use case, STOP/HELP, rates, and “we will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.” Also available on the homepage waitlist.

Verbal opt-in script (phone): “Can we text you at this number about your followsup request from Better Cards, LLC? Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out anytime.” Record yes before any SMS is sent.

Keyword opt-in: Replying YES or START to an initial consent confirmation opts you in under the same terms.

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including platform providers, phone companies, and vendors who assist us in delivering text messages.

Voice (callsback)

Voice touches are consent-verified callbacks only — never cold AI sales dialing. followsup hands a task to callsback.ai; the personal assistant places the call under CallsBack disclosure rules and writes the result back as a signal.

Data & memory

Thread history, commitments, and approved style exemplars stay scoped per business. Retrieval feeds drafting; it does not invent prices, dates, or promises. Ungrounded claims are blocked before send.
